Around Here: March

I turned the calendar to find March staring me in the face. How quickly February passed, leaving us memories of adventure and sunshine. And now, March: in like a lion, with seven inches of snow and days of sickness. We are trusting that March with bring us spring and with it new stories to record.

Eating soup each night for dinner and maybe for lunch, too
Watching June sit on her own and play with her toys, unaccompanied by adults, happy to play independently
Reading a little bit more than I normally have time for (March is reading month, after all)
Savoring afternoon tea and those rare moments of quiet time
Planning to see an old friend
Stressing over The Bachelor
Sending daily text messages all day to my sister
Making my giant list of home projects to finish
Pouring a cocktail after June has gone to bed
Dreaming of a home in warmer weather
Appreciating my husband for all of his hard work
Loving every minute of now.
