Good Things

10 Good Things Friday

We can not direct the wind, but we can adjust the sails.”

-Dolly Parton

To combat the negative, here are Ten Good Things from my week…

1. Sean has been bringing me coffee in bed this week. I could definitely get used to that! Since moving to Traverse City, we’ve started buying our coffee from Higher Ground and it’s changed our coffee game, for sure. They’re an amazing company doing wonderful things for this world– go check them out!

2. I started this novel. Like every other novel she’s written, it’s brilliant from the first sentence.

3. We’ve been binging Bus Life NZ again and dreaming of our own tiny home on wheels.

4. I went to a March of Dimes event this week. It’s so inspiring to see the hard work of others seeping into the corners of our society.

5. I used this recipe to roast my first chicken. (It was from my brother’s flock.) Now our freezer is loaded with good meat and tons of chicken stock for the cold months ahead.

6. Liz’s Instagram account always gives me so much hope + joy. If you’re struggling with infertility or just looking for amazing home inspiration, she’s your girl. Her feed inevitably makes me want to paint everything in my house white.

7. I started making June’s Christmas list, which is always fun!! These blocks and a homemade birds nest are topping the list. Has anyone out there made a giant cozy birds nest before? Send help!

8. I got serious about homemade cleaning products. These amber cleaning bottles arrived in the mail and they’re so pretty I actually want to clean.

9. I’ve been dreaming of a family trip to Portland, Maine

10. This Podcast is my favorite. Have you ever listened? They always have a good conversation about motherhood and family.

What has been great about life this week? Any good things I should know about or add to my day? Thanks for reading along! Have a wonderful weekend!
